For Scott Hepford, building a successful biotech company was never the end goal. It was one vehicle among many for a deeper purpose.
Families in Tororo who went from crisis to co-op ownership. Scholars across seventeen countries turning a classroom exercise into a calling. Communities funding their own clinics with harvests from their own land.
The question was never "did I help?" It was always "did they rise?" When you build the right environment, they do.

Father's Destiny International
Father's Destiny International is a faith-based nonprofit focused on creating lasting, community-led change in eastern Uganda. Operating from Snead Island, Florida and Tororo, Uganda, the organization invests in three interconnected pillars, Health & Wellness, Education, and Sports, with mission-driven entrepreneurship as the force that ties them together.

The Origin Story
Everything began about ten years ago, when the founder met Julius, a local man in Uganda on the verge of losing his home due to unpaid rent.
When Julius said, "God will provide," the response came with both compassion and challenge: "If He hasn't yet, how will He in the future?"
Whether he's licensing PIR® to independent physicians across six continents, funding scholarships for students in Ghana and Zimbabwe, or empowering communities in Tororo to sustain themselves, the playbook doesn't change. The principles hold.

The Three Pillars

Health & Wellness
Health is the foundation of productivity and potential. Father's Destiny funds urgent medical needs, surgeries, transport, medication, while distributing hygiene supplies, training locals on health practices, and partnering with clinics to enhance care. Critically, these efforts are sustained through community-run businesses in farming, livestock, and timber, creating a self-funded model that empowers the community to care for its own.
Education
In underserved communities, education is a lifeline to opportunity. Father's Destiny runs sewing and salon schools for women who lack formal education, preparing them to earn income and start businesses. It supports underfunded primary schools with supplies, teacher stipends, and facility upgrades. And it hosts entrepreneurship bootcamps that teach budgeting, leadership, and business planning, turning learning into livelihood.
Sports
Sports build discipline, confidence, and leadership. They unite communities, create purpose, and provide a positive outlet for youth. Father's Destiny uses sports as a launchpad for youth development and community entrepreneurship, building local leadership, training programs, and initiatives that turn passion into purpose and play into pathways for economic and social impact.
To awaken God-given destinies through a new kind of giving, where faith, entrepreneurship, and belief in people create lasting change.
